      Hello,

I have a netgate 4100 that I just upgraded from 22.01 to 22.05. The center red square LED is still blinking indicating an update is required, and the main status page shows 22.05 installed, but then also shows 22.05 as an available update, even though its already installed.

Is there a way to clear it from thinking its not up to date or maybe reinstall the update to try to clear this condition?

This means your upgrade did not successfully complete. The most common cause of this is an installed package (Squid, usually) hanging up during the upgrade and then causing the pfSense OS upgrade to not complete all the way.

Do you have any packages installed? If so, is one of them Squid perhaps?

@bmeeks Thanks for the direction! It was indeed a stuck update. The only package I had installed was openvpn-client-export, but I ran a pfSense-upgrade via SSH and it indeed had packages that needed to be updated. Ran through that, rebooted, and now the packages are showing up to date and the LED is gone!

          Off to the datacenter!
